BioBunkai_man?
Bunkai is a martial arts term. It means the analysis of Kata for Self-defense. Kata are choreographed fight sequences that are practiced to combine basic moves (blocks, punches, kicks, stepping, turning) into some core patterns that can be called upon when need be. Bunkai extracts pieces of the Kata and shows you how it can be applied to a real life situation.
Bunkai_man was a nickname that I got from Master Dan Cohen a while back as I was coming up through the ranks with Moses. Both of us started Kokondo Karate together and while I was nicknamed Bunkai-Man, Moses was nicknamed Kata-Man.
Really, the nicknames are meant to be more silly and overly dramatic. You have to say the name like it's a over-the-top hong kong action flick hero name (complete with mismatched sound and mouth movement).
Anyhoot, I have been studying Kokondo Karate and Jukido Jujitsu since October of 2002. Lots of fun, very practical oriented martial art with a good not-too-serious group of people.
